PUNTO BANCO

Presentation of Punto Banco:

Punto Banco is a Mexican game derived from the game of Baccarat which is played with 6 decks of 52 cards. This game can bring together up to 7 players arranged around a half-moon table.

The object of the game is to predict which, between the ponte (Punto) and the bank (Banco), will come closest to 9, which is the maximum. The player must therefore bet on "Victoire Punto", "Victoire Banco" and / or "Tie".

Try to win up to 8 times your stake with Punto Banco! 💸

Principle of the game

Who will get as close as possible to the 9?

Place your bets and bet on winning the Ponte, the Bank, or a tie.

Valeur des cartes

From Ace (1) to 9, each card has its face value.

Ten's, Jacks, Queens and Kings have a value of 0.

If the sum of the cards exceeds 10, only the number of units is retained. (9 + 6 = 15 -> We retain 5).

The strongest hand is therefore 9

The course of the game

Place your bets, no more bets

Before starting to distribute the cards between the Ponte and the Bank, each player bets on one of the three squares.

Attention, you can also bet on several boxes: "Victory Banco" + "Equality", "Victory Punto" + "Equality", "Victory Punto + Victory Banco + Equality" ...

To each his own strategy to pocket the bet 😉

After setting up, it's time for distribution !

The croupier deals 2 cards face down to the Ponte as well as to the bank. The croupier turns over the cards and analyzes the hands of both sides.

Hand analysis, which is the closest to 9 ?

OPTION 1: Punto or Banco is equal to 8 or 9.

Punto is equal to 9. Banco is equal to 18: we only keep the units, and Banco is worth 8. PUNTO IS A WINNER.

Punto is equal to 8. Banco is equal to 9. BANCO IS WINNING.

Punto and Banco are equal to 9. THERE IS EQUALITY.

OPTION 2: None of Punto or Bunco is worth 8 or 9.

Case N ° 1: Punto is equal to 6 or 7: There is no additional draw.

Case N ° 2: Punto has a value lower than 6, he receives an additional card.

FOR THE BANCO, the draw or not of an additional card depends on its own game as well as that of the laying:

Case N ° 1: If the bank shows a total of 7, it does not draw a card. We then say "Banco remains".

Case N ° 2: If the bank has a value of 0, 1 or 2, it receives a third card.

Case N ° 3: If Punto does not draw an additional card, and Banco has a value between 3 and 5, Banco draws an additional card

Case 4: If Punto draws a 3rd card with a value of 0 to 9, and Banco has a value of 3, then he draws a 3rd card.

Case N ° 5: If Punto receives a 3rd card with a value between 2 and 7 and the Banco is equal to 4, then he draws a 3rd card as well.

Case N ° 6: If Punto receives a third card with a value between 4 and 7, and Banco has a value of 5, then he draws a 3rd card.

Case N ° 7: If Punto's 3rd card is 6 or 7, and Banco is equal to 6, then he draws a 3rd card

Finally ... The gains!

OPTION 1: PUNTO WINS!

The winner gets his stake once!

OPTION 2: BANCO WINS!

The player touches the bet once, unless Banco makes 6: he gets 50% of the bet

OPTION 3: PUNTO AND BANCO ARE EQUAL!

The winner pockets 8 times his stake!

As Punto and Banco are tied, the other players get their stake
